Vaal Mall has been awarded the PMR Diamond Arrow Award for being the Best Shopping Centre in the Sedibeng area for the fifth year in a row.
The Diamond Arrow is the highest possible PMR rating and is decided by public opinion alone. The public has the first and last word in the rating process and nominate the centres they feel are deserving.
Vaal Mall was named best in its class for its contribution to the economic growth and development of the Sedibeng District as well as awareness of its brand, its managerial and marketing expertise.
Innovation was another category that it excelled in, thanks to its environmental and sustainability leadership in adding a solar plant and back-up power and water facilities to support a positive and consistent experience of the mall for its tenants and shoppers.
“We know that people in our community are currently facing many daily challenges as a result of the wide collapse of basic municipal service delivery. In light of this, we’re especially grateful for their recognition, kind words and continued support. We are proud to be acknowledged by our valued clients and community, who have collectively rated Vaal Mall as the best shopping centre in this region. It is high praise indeed and certainly an honour worth celebrating,” says Shana Maree-Paraskevopoulos, portfolio manager for Vaal Mall.
She adds, “We owe this award to the dedicated staff, partners, retailers and restaurants who work hard to achieve reliable service excellence for our customers. We would also like to pay tribute to them and the many others in Sedibeng that strive to serve this community with the excellence that it truly deserves, no matter the obstacles. When we keep people at the heart of everything we do, our community prospers, and so do our businesses and the entire district.”
Vaal Mall, the heart of Vanderbijlpark and the Vaal Triangle, offers 65,000sqm of convenient shopping. The centre offers trendy eateries, magical movies, gift cards, free covered parking and more than 150 retail stores.
The Vaal Mall Diamond Arrow Award rating is based on independent perception during research undertaken in 2019.
